Young ARS Group
ABOUT
The Young ARS group of the International Workshop of ARS'17 has the goal to promote activities that can provide a platform for young statisticians involved in social network analysis in different research areas.
During the Sixth International Workshop on Social Network Analysis ARS'17 which will take place on 15-17 May 2017 in Naples (Italy), the group will coordinate a specialized session on "Analysing Social Networks: Methods and Applications" and a speed poster session in order to broaden the knowledge of network analysis and discuss with others "where" and "how" this methodological perspective ought to be applied both in practice and in theory.

- SPEED POSTER SESSION
Accepted posters will be included into the "speed poster session", a lightning talk to promote posters during the conference. The poster track will provide Ph.D. students and young researchers in the field of social network analysis with a forum for presenting their innovative work in progress and receiving feedback on their on-going research.
A committee of experts will evaluate all posters to choose the best one.
Best Poster Award: € 500,00 offered by CRISMA srl
The award will be delivered during the closing session of the workshop.
- SPECIAL ISSUE
Extended papers based on the posters will be encouraged to be submitted to the special issue of the Italian Journal of Applied Statistics on "Analysing Social Networks: Methods and Applications" (guest editors: A. Ferligoj, M.P. Vitale, D. De Stefano and L. Kronegger).
